So I’m in Denver, CO right now for a Women’s Coaching Alliance conference. It’s incredibly powerful and 100% what I needed at this point in my life. It’s amazing how these things happen and come at the right time.
I haven’t been able to talk to Mike as much as I would like because I’m always in meetings but it’s given me some time to think about the big picture.
When I wake up I see the Mountains and it’s an incredible reset for me. I think about how he went to school out here and for 4 years he was being pushed and molded to be a leader in the Air Force and now he’s out in Kuwait doing what he has spent so much time being trained to do. There’s so much going on that’s larger than all of us, and when I see those Mountains I feel small. It’s like a reminder that at the end of the day when you go to bed, you’re just a speck standing on a big rock.
I like Colorado a lot. I want to be here with Mike, and it makes me want to learn more about his experiences and where he ventured off to. I want to visit the Air Force Academy and see where he went to school and what helped him become the person he is today.
I miss him a lot, he seems to be doing well at the moment in Kuwait. He was caught in a dust storm but he was prepared with the face shield. He ate another burger but seems to have more of an affinity for chicken sandwiches. He received all three packages from Andy, his folks and me right around the same time. He had to of been the coolest guy in the bunk area with all those awesome goodies!
